The house of the Ismaellis was not the centre of an estate as they did not own land on Vis like the other nobles of Hvar – but, instead, a site of trade and relaxation.<\/p>\n\n
Originally a two-storey building, it was later expanded by another floor.<\/p>\n\n
It was built from finely cut ashlar blocks and covered by a four-eaved roof. <\/p>\n\n
On the first floor, on the axis of the building front turned towards the square, there is a balcony supported by three double consoles.<\/p>\n\n
\n \nIt is enclosed by a \u02dddouble pear\u02dd balustrade and corner balusters that feature plant decorations. <\/p>\n\n
The balcony doors terminate with an arch that features relief flowers and a human head on the crown. <\/p>\n\n
The shape of the house is characterised by a 17th-century Baroque style.<\/p>\n\n
The original layout of the building front on the ground floor and the interior of the house was comprehensively altered during the 19th century, and the Baroque elements of the interior from its era of construction have not remained preserved.<\/p>\n\n
