It is east-west facing. On the fa\u00e7ade is a portal with a double-winged pediment and elliptical windows with vaults in the middle of which is a central window in the form of a ring and distaff with a bell. Viewed as a whole, the church fa\u00e7ade shows the late baroque style.<\/p>\n\n
At the square apse, the vault is parted in a gothic way whilst the form of elongated side windows is also reminiscent of gothic style. Due to the modest financial resources available at the time, constructors were unable to richly develop the church\u2019s layout which was characteristic of the baroque style, but have mixed various styles and satisfying modest solutions.<\/p>\n\n
In the church, there is a large altar painting representing Our Lady with a child in her arms with three Saints below her. This painting is the work of the famous Venice painter, Giambattista Pittoni.<\/p>\n\n
The late baroque painting, The Descent of the Holy Spirit painted by Giuseppe Cortese and other paintings on the side altars; painting The Baptism of Christ and a large icon of St Spyridon painted in his grave on Krf, have no great artistic value.<\/p>\n\n
