Žene na rubu – theatre play

The dramatic text by Gustav Otto brings to the stage three modern women whom life has not treated kindly, women who have been burned and hurt countless times in their search for love. In this comedy, we meet them in their thirties—a vulnerable period when society expects a lot from us, while also suggesting that the end (the forties!) is near. Each of them seeks salvation in a different place: one in the arms of a married man who deceives her, another in a suicidal escape from the routine of family life, and the third in the mysticism of religion. Each lacks what the other two have, but none of them realizes it. With dark humor and surgical precision, this text dissects the ungrateful position of women in contemporary society.
