Milna is a sandy beach located at the bottom of the bay of the tourist settlement of the same name on the south-eastern part of the island.
It was named after the fortress that defended this south-eastern Vis shore from pirate attacks and was located around a hundred meters from the village.
The houses of a Romanesque or Gothic style in Kut and Luka that have, in spite of later reconstructions, remained partially preserved are witness to the prolificness of construction activities conducted in this region during the 14th and 15th century .
