Nenad Grahovac is an exceptional trombonist, originally from Vis and a member of the renowned Afro-Cuban band Cubismo. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with musicians from Buena Vista Social Club and Afro-Cuban All Stars. At the festival, he will perform with local musicians as part of the Nenad Grahovac Jazz Band, with whom he regularly gives concerts during the summer.
Melun Quartet comes from Varaždin and brings together musicians who started their musical journey together at the Varaždin Music School. Each member is the author of original compositions, and the audience will also have the chance to hear selected jazz standards. Their musical expression is shaped by the rich experience of the members – some are educators, academic actors, and members of world-renowned orchestra.
Davor Doležal Quartet is based on the principles of collective improvisation, inspired by the approach of Miles Davis in the 1960s. The quartet’s music naturally ventures into contemporary landscapes such as neo soul, hip hop, and jazz funk. Their stylistic range includes bossa nova, ballads, bebop, and jazz waltzes, creating an exciting and vibrant musical story.
